Ingredients

Brownie Batter

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Optional Topping

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon butter, cut into small pieces


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together mashed bananas, melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Add flour, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder. Fold gently to combine.
  4. Pour in the milk and stir until the batter is fully incorporated. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
  5. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  6. For the topping, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle over the batter, and dot with butter pieces.
  7. Bake 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  8. Cool in the pan before slicing.
