Description

Cheesy, crispy, and bursting with flavor—these Taco Ranch Bites are the ultimate party appetizer! Made with seasoned beef, ranch, and melty cheese, they’re quick, easy, and always a crowd favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey/chicken)
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or Mexican blend)
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix
  • 24 mini phyllo shells (or wonton wrappers/crescent dough)
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, jalapeños, diced tomatoes, green onions, fresh cilantro

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in taco seasoning and water, cooking until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix softened cream cheese, ranch mix, and shredded cheese.
  5. Spoon a little cream cheese mixture into each phyllo shell.
  6. Top with seasoned beef, then sprinkle with extra cheese if desired.
  7. Place filled shells on a baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
  8. Remove from oven and garnish with optional toppings. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños or use pepper jack cheese.
  • Assemble bites ahead of time and refrigerate—just bake when ready.
  • Freeze unbaked bites for up to 2 months; bake directly from frozen.
  • Swap ground beef for beans or veggies for a vegetarian version.
