Description

Shrimp Scampi Bowls with Garlic Bread feature tender shrimp sautéed in a garlic butter lemon sauce and served with crispy, golden garlic bread. This quick and flavorful meal is perfect for busy weeknights or relaxed weekend dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine (or chicken broth)
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, plus more for garnish
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 thick slices French or Italian bread
  • Garlic butter (softened butter mixed with minced garlic and parsley)

Instructions

  1. Pat shrimp dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons butter and olive oil in skillet. Cook shrimp 2–3 minutes per side until opaque; remove.
  3. Add remaining butter and garlic; cook 30 seconds.
  4. Add wine and simmer 2–3 minutes.
  5. Stir in lemon juice and red pepper flakes. Return shrimp to pan and toss.
  6. Sprinkle with parsley and adjust seasoning.
  7. Spread garlic butter on bread and broil 2–3 minutes until golden.
  8. Serve shrimp in bowls with sauce and garlic bread on the side.

Notes

  • Cook shrimp just until opaque to prevent rubbery texture.
  • Use fresh lemon juice for the brightest flavor.
  • Deglaze the pan well for maximum flavor in the sauce.
  • Broil bread carefully — it can brown quickly.
