Description
A simple baked pancake breakfast made with sausage and cheddar cheese, ideal for feeding a crowd or prepping ahead for busy mornings.
Ingredients
- 3 cups pancake mix
- 1 lb breakfast sausage, browned
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- Butter, for greasing and serving
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Generously butter a rimmed sheet pan.
- Prepare pancake batter according to package directions.
- Pour batter evenly into the sheet pan.
- Sprinkle browned sausage over the batter, then add shredded cheddar cheese.
- Drizzle syrup lightly over the top.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes, until set in the center and lightly golden.
- Cool slightly, slice, and serve warm with butter.
Notes
- Drain sausage well to prevent excess grease
- For crisp edges, use a metal sheet pan
- Serve syrup on the side for adjustable sweetness
