Ingredients

For the Salmon Patties

  • 2 cans (6 oz each) salmon, drained and flaked
(or 12 oz cooked fresh salmon)
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • ¼ cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, for frying

For the Creamy Lemon-Garlic Sauce

  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt (or mayonnaise)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • ½ teaspoon honey (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine salmon, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, parsley, seasonings, Dijon mustard, mayonnaise, and lemon juice. Mix gently until combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into evenly sized patties.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together all sauce ingredients until smooth.
  5. Serve warm salmon patties with creamy lemon-garlic sauce on the side or drizzled over the top.

Notes

  • Avoid overmixing to keep patties tender.
  • Chill patties for 10 minutes before cooking if the mixture feels soft.
