Description

A hearty baked pasta dish loaded with ground meat, rich sauces, melted cheese, and classic pizza toppings.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground sausage
  • 1 small yellow onion, diced
  • 1 small green bell pepper, diced
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp hot sauce
  • 32 oz marinara sauce
  • 8 oz pizza sauce
  • 3/4 lb penne pasta
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 25 slices pepperoni
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • Pinch red pepper flakes


Instructions

  1. Cook pasta until al dente; drain.
  2. Brown ground beef and sausage in a skillet.
  3. Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic; cook until soft.
  4. Stir in broth, sauces, and seasonings; simmer.
  5. Mix pasta with sauce.
  6. Layer half in baking dish, add cheese, repeat layers.
  7. Top with pepperoni and remaining cheese.
  8. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes.
  9. Cool slightly and serve.

Notes

  • Use freshly shredded cheese for better melting.
  • Add mushrooms or olives for extra flavor.
  • Let casserole rest before slicing for cleaner servings.
