Ingredients
- 2 packages (14 oz each) Lil’ Smokies sausages
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 1 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or canned)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, combine brown sugar, pineapple juice, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Stir until sugar dissolves.
- Add Lil’ Smokies and pineapple chunks. Stir to coat evenly.
- Bring mixture to a gentle simmer and cook for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
- Remove from heat and serve warm.
Slow Cooker Option: Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker and cook on low for 2–3 hours.
Oven Option: Bake covered at 350°F (175°C) for 30–35 minutes, stirring halfway through.
Notes
- Simmer uncovered for a thicker glaze.
