Description

All the flavor of a classic Philly cheesesteak — in a cheesy, comforting, low-carb casserole perfect for weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 680g ground beef
  • 2 bell peppers (any color), chopped
  • ½ large onion, chopped
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp seasoned salt
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 60ml heavy cream
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Lightly grease a casserole dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain if needed.
  3. Add chopped peppers, onions, and garlic. Cook for 5–7 minutes until softened.
  4. Stir in seasoned salt and Worcestershire sauce. Transfer mixture to the baking dish.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together eggs and heavy cream. Pour over beef mixture.
  6. Layer provolone slices on top.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until eggs are set and cheese is melted. Rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use different colored peppers for visual appeal.
  • Add mushrooms or jalapeños for variation.
