Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- Place the chicken breasts in a single layer in the baking dish.
- Whisk together the barbecue sauce and ranch dressing until smooth and combined.
- Pour the sauce generously over the chicken, coating each piece well.
- Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until the chicken is nearly cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and top evenly with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Scatter the crispy fried onions over the cheese layer.
- Return to the oven for 5-7 minutes until the cheese is melted and the onions are golden.
- Rest for a few minutes before serving.
