Description
Cheesy ground beef sandwiches layered with fresh tomatoes, cilantro, and jalapeños on hoagie rolls. Quick, flavorful, and perfect for lunch or dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 4 hoagie rolls
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 medium tomato, diced
- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 jalapeño, sliced (optional)
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Sprinkle in taco seasoning and stir to coat the beef evenly. Add diced onion and cook 3–4 minutes until translucent.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and add shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, stirring until melted and creamy.
- Slice hoagie rolls and spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on each side.
- Spoon cheesy beef mixture onto rolls. Top with diced tomato, cilantro, and jalapeño slices if desired.
- Serve warm immediately, optionally toasting rolls for extra crunch.
