Description

Juicy bone-in pork chops topped with crispy bacon and smothered in a creamy Dijon mustard sauce with a hint of maple sweetness — a comforting and flavorful dinner ready in under an hour.

Ingredients

For the Pork Chops:

  • 4 bone-in pork chops
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste

For the Dijon Cream Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Season pork chops with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, Dijon mustard, and maple syrup. Let sit for 10–15 minutes.
  2. Cook bacon in a skillet until crispy. Remove, crumble, and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sear pork chops over medium heat for 4–5 minutes per side or until internal temperature reaches 145°F. Remove and rest.
  4. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Slowly add milk while whisking continuously. Stir in heavy cream, Dijon mustard, garlic, salt, and pepper. Simmer until thickened.
  6. Return pork chops to skillet, pour sauce over top, and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle with crumbled bacon before serving.

Notes

  • Let pork chops rest before slicing to keep them juicy.
  • Whisk constantly when adding milk to prevent lumps in the sauce.
  • Add a splash of milk while reheating if the sauce thickens too much.
