Ingredients
- 26 ounces frozen French fries
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
- 2 teaspoons ranch seasoning powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne powder, divided
- 8 ounces white cheddar cheese, shredded
Instructions
- Cook frozen French fries according to package directions until golden and crispy.
- In a medium saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons butter over medium heat. Stir in 2 tablespoons flour and cook 1–2 minutes.
- Gradually whisk in 2 cups milk until smooth. Add salt, white pepper, ranch seasoning, and 1/4 teaspoon cayenne powder. Simmer until slightly thickened.
- Stir in 8 ounces shredded white cheddar cheese until melted and creamy. Adjust seasoning if needed.
- Pour cheese sauce over cooked fries, sprinkle remaining 1/4 teaspoon cayenne powder, and serve immediately.
