Description

Ingredients

  • 26 ounces frozen French fries
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 2 teaspoons ranch seasoning powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne powder, divided
  • 8 ounces white cheddar cheese, shredded


Instructions

  1. Cook frozen French fries according to package directions until golden and crispy.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons butter over medium heat. Stir in 2 tablespoons flour and cook 1–2 minutes.
  3. Gradually whisk in 2 cups milk until smooth. Add salt, white pepper, ranch seasoning, and 1/4 teaspoon cayenne powder. Simmer until slightly thickened.
  4. Stir in 8 ounces shredded white cheddar cheese until melted and creamy. Adjust seasoning if needed.
  5. Pour cheese sauce over cooked fries, sprinkle remaining 1/4 teaspoon cayenne powder, and serve immediately.
