Description

This Jalapeño Peach Chicken is a perfect mix of sweet, spicy, and savory! Juicy chicken glazed in a peach and jalapeño sauce for a quick 30-minute dinner bursting with flavor.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 ripe peaches, sliced (or 1½ cups canned, drained)
  • 1 jalapeño pepper, thinly sliced (remove seeds for less heat)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • Fresh cilantro or parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the Chicken: Pat the chicken dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Sear: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked. Transfer to a plate.
  3. Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, add butter. Once melted, sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add sliced peaches and jalapeños; cook 2–3 minutes until peaches soften slightly.
  4. Add Flavor: Stir in honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and paprika. Let the sauce simmer 3–4 minutes until it thickens and becomes glossy.
  5. Combine: Return the chicken to the skillet, spoon the sauce over, and simmer another 3–5 minutes to coat evenly.
  6. Serve: Garnish with chopped cilantro or parsley. Serve warm with rice, potatoes, or veggies.

Notes

  • Use fresh peaches when in season for best flavor, but canned peaches work well too.
  • Remove jalapeño seeds for milder spice or add red pepper flakes for more heat.
  • For a grilled version, brush chicken with sauce while grilling for smoky depth.
  • Double the glaze ingredients if you like extra sauce for rice or sides.
  • Garnish with lime juice or zest for a bright finish.
