Description

This Instant Pot Spaghetti is a quick, one-pot dinner made with ground beef, marinara sauce, and perfectly cooked spaghetti. Simple ingredients come together for a comforting, family-friendly meal with minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef (85% lean recommended)
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • ½ pound spaghetti, broken in half
  • 24 ounces marinara sauce
  • 14.5 ounces diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 2 cups chicken broth (or water)
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened (optional)

Instructions

  1. Set the Instant Pot to Sauté and add olive oil.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  3. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  4. Turn off Sauté mode and drain excess grease if needed.
  5. Break spaghetti in half and layer it over the beef in a crisscross pattern.
  6. Pour marinara sauce on top, followed by diced tomatoes and chicken broth. Do not stir.
  7. Secure the lid, set the valve to Sealing, and cook on High Pressure for 8 minutes.
  8. Perform a quick pressure release.
  9. Stir gently and add cream cheese if using, mixing until melted and smooth.
  10. Let sit for 3–5 minutes to thicken before serving.

Notes

  • Layering the pasta without stirring helps prevent a burn notice.
  • For extra richness, add cream cheese or a splash of heavy cream.
  • Use ground turkey or Italian sausage for variation.
  • Let the spaghetti rest briefly before serving for a thicker sauce.
