Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 cup sweet onion, chopped
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons onion soup mix
- ½ cup Bisquick
- 2 large eggs
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a pie dish.
- Cook ground beef and onion in a skillet until browned; drain excess fat.
- Spread beef mixture evenly in the prepared dish.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese over the meat.
- In a bowl, whisk milk, onion soup mix, Bisquick, and eggs until smooth.
- Pour batter over the meat and cheese.
- Bake 25–30 minutes until golden and set.
- Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Drain beef well to avoid excess moisture.
- Let the pie rest before cutting for cleaner slices.
- Add bacon or pickles for extra cheeseburger flavor.
