Description
Sweet heat, tangy feta, and juicy baked chicken come together in a simple, flavorful dish perfect for weeknights.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 200 g feta cheese, crumbled
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp hot sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix the honey, olive oil, hot sauce, garlic, lemon juice, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Place chicken in the baking dish and coat with the marinade.
- Bake for 22–28 minutes, or until the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Add crumbled feta over the top and broil for 2–3 minutes until lightly golden.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and spoon sauce from the pan over each piece before serving.
Notes
- Add extra hot sauce or chili flakes for more heat.
- Chicken thighs can be used for a juicier option.
- Reserve a little feta for fresh topping after baking.
- Marinate up to 24 hours for richer flavor.
