Description

Juicy steak cooked in garlic butter served over rice with steamed broccoli and fresh parsley for a simple, satisfying one-bowl dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound steak of your choice
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup steamed broccoli
  • ¼ cup chopped parsley

Instructions

  • Bring steak to room temperature and season with salt and black pepper.
  • Heat 2 tablespoons butter in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear steak 3–5 minutes per side. Let rest.
  • Add remaining butter and sauté garlic for 1–2 minutes. Pour garlic butter over steak.
  • Slice steak against the grain. Assemble bowls with rice, sliced steak, broccoli, and drizzle with garlic butter. Top with parsley.
  • Serve immediately, optionally with lemon or soy sauce for extra flavor.

Notes

  • Rest steak before slicing to keep it tender.
  • Swap rice for quinoa or cauliflower rice for a low-carb option.
  • Add extra vegetables or a fried egg for variety.
