Ingredients
- 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
- 5 large eggs
- 1 cup milk or cream
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or Gruyere)
- 1 cup mix-ins (ham, spinach, mushrooms, or bell peppers)
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- Optional herbs: thyme, parsley, or chives
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and pre-bake for 8 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk eggs, milk (or cream), salt, and pepper.
- Stir in cheese and your chosen mix-ins.
- Pour mixture into pre-baked crust.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, until the center is set and top is golden.
- Cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
