Description

This easy quiche recipe is quick, versatile, and delicious—perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dinner. Customize with your favorite meats, veggies, and cheeses.

Ingredients

  • 1 pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk or cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or Gruyere)
  • 1 cup mix-ins (ham, spinach, mushrooms, or bell peppers)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional herbs: thyme, parsley, or chives

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and pre-bake for 8 minutes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk eggs, milk (or cream), salt, and pepper.
  4. Stir in cheese and your chosen mix-ins.
  5. Pour mixture into pre-baked crust.
  6. Bake for 35–40 minutes, until the center is set and top is golden.
  7. Cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Blind bake (pre-bake) the crust to prevent sogginess.
  • Pre-cook vegetables like mushrooms or spinach to avoid extra water in the filling.
  • For a lighter option, use skim milk instead of cream.
  • Make it crustless for a low-carb version.
  • Leftovers reheat beautifully—store in fridge up to 4 days.
