Description
A fresh and crunchy mango slaw made with crisp vegetables, ripe mango, and a light lime-honey dressing.
Ingredients
- 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
- 2 cups green cabbage, finely shredded
- 1 large carrot, grated
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Add mango, cabbage, carrot, bell pepper, red onion, and cilantro to a large bowl.
- Whisk lime juice, honey or maple syrup, sesame oil, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
- Pour dressing over the slaw and toss gently until evenly coated.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Let rest 10–15 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use ripe but firm mangoes for the best texture.
- Add dressing just before serving for maximum crunch.
- A pinch of chili flakes adds gentle heat if desired.
