Description

A fresh and crunchy mango slaw made with crisp vegetables, ripe mango, and a light lime-honey dressing.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
  • 2 cups green cabbage, finely shredded
  • 1 large carrot, grated
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. Add mango, cabbage, carrot, bell pepper, red onion, and cilantro to a large bowl.
  2. Whisk lime juice, honey or maple syrup, sesame oil, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
  3. Pour dressing over the slaw and toss gently until evenly coated.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  5. Let rest 10–15 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use ripe but firm mangoes for the best texture.
  • Add dressing just before serving for maximum crunch.
  • A pinch of chili flakes adds gentle heat if desired.
