A creamy, cheesy casserole made with potatoes, ham, and a rich, savory sauce. This slow cooker recipe is the ultimate comfort food, perfect for busy days or family dinners.
Ingredients
- 4 cups potatoes, diced (about 4 medium potatoes)
- 2 cups cooked ham, diced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp paprika (optional)
Instructions
- Dice the potatoes, ham, and onion.
- In a small bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Layer half of the potatoes, half of the ham, and half of the onion in the Crockpot. Pour half of the soup mixture over the top. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until the potatoes are fork-tender.
- Once done, sprinkle with cheddar cheese and let it melt before serving.
Notes
- Add extra cheese on top for a gooey, cheesy finish.
- For more flavor, try using sharp cheddar or mix in a little Parmesan.
- Can be made ahead by prepping the casserole in the morning and cooking in the evening.
