Description
A hearty baked casserole loaded with chili-seasoned beef, sliced hot dogs, crispy tater tots, and gooey cheddar cheese.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 8 hot dogs or smoked sausages, sliced
- 1 medium yellow onion, diced
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons chili seasoning
- 1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 (10-ounce) can diced tomatoes with green chilies
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 (32-ounce) bag frozen tater tots
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- Cooking spray

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Spray a casserole dish with cooking spray.
- Brown ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Stir in chili seasoning, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, salt, and pepper.
- Add sliced hot dogs and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Spread mixture into casserole dish.
- Sprinkle with 1½ cups cheddar cheese.
- Arrange frozen tater tots evenly on top.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes until tater tots are crispy.
- Top with remaining cheese and bake another 5 minutes.
- Serve warm with desired toppings.
Notes
- Use smoked sausage for extra flavor.
- Add jalapeños for more heat.
- Reheat leftovers in the oven for crispier tater tots.
