Description

Creamy, flavorful, and easy to make—this Crockpot Angel Chicken recipe is the ultimate comfort food! Tender chicken slow-cooked in a rich, velvety sauce and served over angel hair pasta.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 (1 oz) packet dry Italian dressing mix
  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 lb angel hair pasta, cooked according to package directions

Optional Add-Ins:

  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1 tsp garlic powder or 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crockpot: Lightly grease your crockpot with non-stick spray.
  2. Make the Sauce: In a small saucepan, melt butter and cream cheese over low heat. Stir in the cream of chicken soup, Italian dressing mix, and chicken broth. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Add Chicken: Place chicken breasts in the crockpot and pour the creamy sauce over the top.
  4. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 5–6 hours or high for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
  5. Serve: Shred the chicken or serve whole over a bed of angel hair pasta. Spoon extra sauce on top.
  6. Garnish: Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Use chicken thighs for extra juiciness and flavor.
  • Don’t skip the Italian dressing mix—it’s what gives this recipe its signature tangy, savory flavor.
  • If your sauce seems too thick, stir in a splash of milk or chicken broth before serving.
  • Reheat leftovers gently on the stovetop or in the microwave with a bit of added liquid to keep it creamy.
  • Pair it with garlic bread or steamed vegetables for a balanced meal.
