Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks)
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
Instructions
- Brown the butter in a saucepan until golden and nutty. Cool 10–15 minutes.
- Beat browned butter with sugars. Add eggs one at a time.
- Whisk flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt separately. Mix into wet ingredients.
- Chill dough 30–60 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Scoop dough onto lined baking sheets and bake 9–11 minutes, until edges are set.
Notes
- Chill the dough to prevent excess spreading.
- Add white chocolate chips or chopped pecans for variation.
- Sprinkle extra cinnamon sugar on top before baking for added flavor.
