Description

A sweet and crispy breakfast roll-up made with white bread, Cajeta caramel, and cinnamon sugar coating, pan-fried until golden.


Ingredients

  • 8 slices white bread
  • 8 tbsp Cajeta (Mexican caramel sauce)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon


Instructions

  1. Remove crusts and flatten bread slices.
  2. Spread Cajeta on each slice and roll tightly.
  3. Whisk eggs, milk, and vanilla in a bowl.
  4. Mix cinnamon and sugar in a separate bowl.
  5. Dip rolls into egg mixture.
  6. Cook in buttered skillet until golden on all sides.
  7. Roll in cinnamon sugar while warm.
  8. Serve immediately with extra caramel if desired.
