Ingredients
- 3 large sweet onions (such as Vidalia), sliced into ½-inch rings
- 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Slice onions into ½-inch rings and layer them evenly in the dish.
- Mix melted butter, garlic powder, thyme, salt, and pepper. Drizzle over onions.
- Sprinkle cheddar, Monterey Jack, and Parmesan evenly over the top.
- Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Let rest 5–10 minutes before serving.

- Use Vidalia or other sweet onions for the best flavor.
