Description

These baked chicken tenders are crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and coated with seasoned panko and Parmesan for an easy oven-baked dinner the whole family will enjoy.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/3 cups panko bread crumbs
  • 2/3 cup (1.7 oz) finely shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 lbs chicken tenders (about 12 large tenders)
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Place flour in a shallow bowl and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Whisk eggs in a second bowl.
  4. In a third bowl, mix panko, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, and olive oil until evenly combined.
  5. Dredge each chicken tender in flour, dip into egg, then coat thoroughly with breadcrumb mixture.
  6. Arrange tenders on the baking sheet, leaving space between each piece.
  7. Bake for 15–18 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and cooked through (165°F internal temperature).
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use a wire rack on the baking sheet for extra crispiness.
  • Avoid overcrowding to ensure even browning.
  • Reheat leftovers in the oven or air fryer to maintain crunch.
