Description

Flaky air-fried fish seasoned with bold spices and topped with creamy cilantro lime slaw for fresh, flavorful tacos ready in under 30 minutes.


Ingredients

For the Fish

  • lb tilapia or white fish (mahi mahi, cod, etc.)
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • ½ tsp oregano
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp cayenne
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp cracked pepper

For the Cilantro Lime Slaw

  • 2½ cups coleslaw mix
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • ⅓ cup chopped cilantro
  • ½ tsp sugar (optional)
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  • ¼ tsp cracked pepper

For Taco Assembly

  • Tortillas
  • Extra lime juice


Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat fish dry and cut into strips.
  3. Combine all fish seasonings in a bowl.
  4. Rub seasoning evenly over fish.
  5. Arrange fish in air fryer basket in a single layer.
  6. Cook for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  7. In a bowl, mix coleslaw mix, mayo, lime juice, garlic, cilantro, sugar, salt, and pepper.
  8. Warm tortillas.
  9. Fill tortillas with fish and top with slaw.
  10. Finish with extra lime juice and serve.

Notes

  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket.
  • Fresh lime juice gives the slaw the best flavor.
  • Add avocado or hot sauce for extra richness and spice.
