Description
Crispy air fryer chicken breasts coated in Parmesan and Italian bread crumbs, topped with marinara and melted mozzarella for a quick and satisfying dinner.
Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts (8 ounces each)
- ¼ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup Italian-style bread crumbs
- 2 eggs, whisked
- ½ cup marinara sauce
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray basket.
- In one bowl, whisk eggs. In another, mix bread crumbs and shredded Parmesan.
- Dip chicken into eggs, then coat evenly in bread crumb mixture.
- Place in air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Top with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
- Air fry 2–3 more minutes until cheese is melted. Rest briefly before serving.
Notes
- Pound chicken to even thickness for uniform cooking
- Avoid overcrowding for crispier results
- Reheat in air fryer to maintain crunch
