Description

Soft, fruity homemade bagels made with just yogurt, flour, and fresh blueberries. A quick, no-yeast breakfast that bakes up beautifully in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup buttermilk or kefir
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten (optional for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add Greek yogurt and buttermilk; stir until a soft dough forms.
  4. Gently fold in blueberries. Add a sprinkle of flour if the dough becomes too sticky.
  5. Divide dough into 6 portions, shape into bagels, and place on the prepared tray.
  6. Brush with egg wash if using.
  7. Bake 22–25 minutes or until golden and firm.

Notes

  • If dough becomes too wet from blueberries, add 1–2 tablespoons flour.
  • For extra flavor, add lemon zest or a sprinkle of sugar on top.
  • Use frozen blueberries without thawing to prevent excess moisture.
