Description
Soft, fruity homemade bagels made with just yogurt, flour, and fresh blueberries. A quick, no-yeast breakfast that bakes up beautifully in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- ¼ cup buttermilk or kefir
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten (optional for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add Greek yogurt and buttermilk; stir until a soft dough forms.
- Gently fold in blueberries. Add a sprinkle of flour if the dough becomes too sticky.
- Divide dough into 6 portions, shape into bagels, and place on the prepared tray.
- Brush with egg wash if using.
- Bake 22–25 minutes or until golden and firm.
Notes
- If dough becomes too wet from blueberries, add 1–2 tablespoons flour.
- For extra flavor, add lemon zest or a sprinkle of sugar on top.
- Use frozen blueberries without thawing to prevent excess moisture.
